In 2012, Jamie's journey as a designer began when she started creating printed items for her daughter Kate before she was even born. First, it was for Kate's gender reveal party, then her baby shower, followed by the nursery, first birthday party, baptism, and so on.

As friends started inquiring about where Jamie purchased her custom-made signs, they were surprised to learn that she had made them herself. Seeing the growing demand, Jamie decided to turn her passion into a small business venture, and thus, Katie Doodle was born.

Today, Kate is an energetic and loving 11-year-old who enjoys art, swimming, spending time with friends and family, and her faith in Jesus. Her favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 43:2, which reads, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you."
